AN INNOVATION DYNAMIC ROOTED IN-HOUSE

As a world leader in rail infrastructure and a supplier of solutions for sustainable mobility, innovation is considered an essential driver of growth and success for Colas Rail.

This is why the Innovation department aims to structure the company's overall innovation approach, to support innovators in the development of their projects and to install an innovation culture in all our subsidiaries. Colas Rail wishes to involve all of its employees in a collaborative innovation process to help create sustainable mobility solutions for today and tomorrow.

How ?

The department offers two annual events to all of its employees to boost their creativity.

InnoBoost programme

InnoBoost is an idea acceleration programme aimed at all employees wishing to be involved in Colas Rail's innovation process. This programme allows employees to propose ideas, which are challenged and selected by members of Colas Rail's management. Once selected, the teams with these ideas benefit from support from the Innovation Department and the necessary resources (coaching, time and funding) to verify the value and interest of their ideas, with the aim of deploying them within the company or externally if the solution allows it.

Innovation competition – Let your imagination run wild

Every year, starting in November, the Colas Rail Innovation Competition takes place, in which all employees can take part. This competition aims to highlight the innovations implemented in the company during the year and to reward the best of them. Employees who wish to participate post their innovations on a dedicated internal collaborative platform when the competition is launched and the innovations are requested by a jury made up of members of Colas Rail's management. The winning teams are then rewarded.
