For the first time in France, the RTS Agency has been working on a contract to replace heavy iron arches by projected concrete segments. This technical performance contributed RTS teams winning another contract, which is also a first in France: to widen the double umbrella arch of the entrance to the Mousserolles tunnel, in Bayonne.
This contract was part of the project to replace the bridge over the Adour.
