Colas Rail Italia, Colas Rail’s Italian subsidiary, has won two contracts attributed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), which manages the Italian railway infrastructures, to modernize the overhead line installations in the north-west of the country.

The first contract concerns the regions of Milan and Verona. Colas Rail Italia is the lead-manager of a grouping which includes Sirti, the Italian telecoms company, and SIFEL.

The second contract covers the regions around Turin and Genoa. Colas Rail Italia is a member of a grouping made up of SIFEL (lead-manager) and Coget, an Italian company specialised in overhead lines and electricity lines.

The work will be carried out between 2019 and 2021 and is worth a total of €44 million for Colas Rail Italia.

Colas Rail Italia had already been awarded other contracts for the maintenance of overhead lines and the renovation of electricity traction sub-stations in the north-west of Italy.
