Since September 6, 2018, the Colas – Colas Rail consortium has been working on the construction of the T13 Express Tramway.

Île-de-France Mobilités launched a project to upgrade the former Grande Ceinture Ouest (GCO) line and extend it north and south to the cities of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Saint-Cyr-l’Ecole. This tram-train line is expected to reduce traffic congestion in city centres by encouraging the use of public transport in the area. The T13 Express Tramway line is expected to carry 21,000 passengers a day, 7 days a week, with frequent service: every 10 minutes during rush hour. It will take 30 minutes to cross the 7 cities present along the route.

Colas Rail, in a consortium with Colas (project leader), was awarded a contract for the construction of a total of 7.5 km of single tracks, including 3.2 km of conventional track, 3.5 km of green track and 800 m of ballast track. In addition, two single crossovers and one double crossover were installed on the site.

Colas Rail is showcasing its expertise within the group and working in synergy with its parent company, Colas. Colas Rail is proud to be involved in this new sustainable mobility project.
