Our Mission

Colas Rail, leader in railway infrastructures

Colas Rail offers turnkey systems for railway infrastructures providing sustainable mobility solutions with zero carbon emissions that cover the whole life cycle, from design to construction and maintenance.

Towns and city centres across the world today, are being regenerated to accommodate growing populations, we understand the need for carbon neutral mobility that is safe and reliable and aim to provide innovative ways of thinking to deliver for our customers.

A subsidiary of the Colas Group (in turn a subsidiary of Bouygues), and leader in the construction and upkeep of transport infrastructures, Colas Rail relies on the Group’s worldwide collective expertise and the innovative strength of its teams.

Our experience

This more than a hundred-year-old experience has enabled us to take part in the major innovations in our sector (rail speed record, high-speed automatic track, and overhead line renewal trains).

Every day, thousands of trains run on tracks that Colas Rail has worked on.

Our history

Based on over 170 years of experience, the history of Colas Rail was born in 2008 from the merger of these two companies, Seco Rail and Spie Rail, marking the beginning of a new era. 

The wealth of resources of our company stems from the diversity of its various sectors and areas of expertise.
