Colas Rail, an international leader in railway infrastructure established in 2008 following the merger of Seco Rail and Spie Rail, has more than a century of experience in the design and installation of concrete and ballast tracks for all types of networks (tramlines, underground lines, conventional lines, high-speed lines, etc.). A leader in this field, Colas Rail is an undisputed specialist in the design, construction, supply and maintenance of rail tracks and steel wheeled or rubber tyred transport systems.

Design:
  • Concept, design and implementation studies

  • Renewal: ballast track – sleepers – rails – ballast – points and crossings – rail welding and replacement
  • Equipment: all-in-one track component renewal unit (up to 1000 m/8 hours, 780 km of track renewed between 2013 and 2017)
  • Cross-cutting service: setting up visual track monitoring systems and corresponding analysis tools
  • Safety management: installation and removal of temporary speed limits, safety announcements
  • Training: train drivers, tampers, track layers

CHILE
  • High-speed lines: 150 points and crossings replaced for EFE (Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado), the Chilean rail operator
  • Underground railways: design and construction of the track and catenary on lines 3 and 6 of the Santiago underground rail system (90 km)
CANADA

Edmonton Light Rail Extension: 
4 km including 2.1 km of elevated tracks and two maintenance and storage centre facilities

FRANCE

France high-speed lines: 
•    BPL (Brittany Pays de Loire): 70 km of track – Eastern Branch
•    Nîmes-Montpellier bypass: 300 km of rails, 500,000 tonnes of ballast
