The first track doubling contract involves the construction of double track on 170 km of line between Settat and Marrakesh, to be delivered in November 2018.

The second contract includes the refurbishment of 11 stations on the line. Colas Rail Morocco is managing all the activities under the contract: civil engineering, earth-moving, track works, lighting, fencing, catenaries and signals. Colas Rail Morocco will be working on the tracks and catenaries at two additional stations.

The project will increase the availability of rail transport between the Casablanca and Marrakesh for the purposes of alleviating traffic.
