Waverley station (Edinburgh)

Colas Rail Ltd took part in this project on a listed world heritage site.
The work at Waverley Station involved an additional terminus platform and infrastructure work at Haymarket.

This included fixed equipment, drainage systems, overhead lines, mechanical, electric and public telephone equipment, and the installation of two new direct railway lines.
Major civil and structural engineering work was also involved. And finally, escalators and lifts were installed, the glass roofing was replaced over the two new covered platforms at Waverley Station, and the covered platforms’ bearer walls were repaired and renovated.


The Edinburgh Waverley project was completed on time at end-October 2007.
