    Presentation of the subsidiary

    The Colas Rail Côte Ivory Coast subsidiary was created in 2022, specifically for the Abidjan Metro Line 1 project.
    Partners of Bouygues, ALSTOM and KEOLIS on this project for the first Metro line in Ivory Coast, Colas Rail is building the railway, the catenary, the high currents, the low currents (CCTV, voice-intercom, ticketing) and ensures jointly with ALSTOM the system engineering of this emblematic project for the region.

    The Metro project extends over 37 km, from Port Bouët (future Airport station) to Anyama in the north of the city (future Anyama Center station).

     

    History of the subsidiary

    • 2018: submission of the offer and signature of the initial contract
    • 2022: creation of the Colas Rail Côte d’Ivoire subsidiary
    • 2023: mobilization of ETAP 3 works (SITARAIL)
    • 2024: start of work Colas Rail
       

    Presentation

    Colas Rail follows in the footsteps of Colas and Bouygues, present for more than 40 years in the country.
    Colas Rail Côte d'Ivoire is participating in this flagship project for Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, and already has more than 40 employees in the country in 2024.
    This project brings together several of Colas Rail's historic businesses, such as railway tracks, catenary and heavy currents, to which is added a large weak current package.
    This turnkey project for the STAR Group to which Colas Rail belongs contributes to the emergence of a new system reference for the group.
    Colas Rail is involved in all stages of the project, from design to commissioning of the line and will generate activity for around 250 people at the heart of the work planned for 2025.
