Developing the skills of our employees is at the heart of our concerns, which is why we offer them suitable training courses throughout their careers.

As soon as they join the company, all of our employees take part in a two-day integration
which have for main focus: Prevention & amp; Safety. Further, employees receive an overall presentation of the company as well as all useful human resources information.

  • 🌐 International Training Program

    International Training Programme

    Each year, we select high potentials from among our project managers and directors to join our International Training Program . Coming from all over the world, our employees meet for a week at our offices in Paris: an opportunity to share their experiences and best practices.
    The training gives them an equal level of knowledge on important themes for the company: safety , ethics , budget and contracts, the company’s international strategy as well as intercultural management .

    We therefore wish to create more interactions between Colas Rail employees thanks to a cohort system and encourage international mobility .

The Colas Rail training offer in France reflects the strategic needs of the company, its core business as well as most of the individual needs of employees. This offer supports employees throughout their career to acquire, maintain and develop their skills.
Since 2019, it includes a 2-year course for Site Managers, Works Managers and Agencies Managers, as well as a tutoring system for our elite workers, the “Compagnons du Rail” (Rail Companions).

  • 👷 2-year course: Site Managers, Works Managers and Agencies Managers

    Started in 2019, this course allows all new Site Managers, Works Managers and Agencies Managers joining the company to acquire skills:

    • on the company’s main areas of expertise (track, overhead lines, …)
    • on railway safety
    • in management

    Through this training, Colas Rail intends to create interactions between the employees while offering them a real booster in terms of skills thanks to a very complete program spread over two years.

    In order to provide them with the most relevant skills, we use the skills of our technical experts, human resources, our
    training organization subsidiary CampusFER and specialized external organizations such as the Professional Organization for the Prevention of Building and Public Works ( OPPBTP ).

  • 👨‍🏫 Tutoring system for our elite workers, the "Companons du Rail"

    We have around forty “Compagnons du Rail” (Rail Companions) within the Colas Rail Group. Outstanding field employees, they contribute daily to the training of new recruits. This is why, we provide them a dedicated training allowing them to acquire new skills: our to pass down your knowledge and the management of the teams.
