Colas Rail played an active part in the original construction of the Cairo Metro and won a contract to build the new Line 3. The 1999 town-planning objectives provide for the construction of three more lines by 2022.
The most recent work in Egypt was on the extension of Line 2 – Phase C – of the Cairo Metro in 2001.
