On January 28th 2021, Colas Rail completed the last concreting works of the LRT Jabodebek Trackwork project at the Dukuh Atas Station, which will be the terminus station of Jabodebek Line 2 interconnecting with MRT Jakarta. It also signifies the completion of the heavy works for this project. Since the start of the project in 2018, we have mobilized more than 1,000 employees to pour a total 40,000m3 of concrete and installed 3,700 tonnes of reinforced bars.
In 2017, Colas Rail and partner PT Iroda Mitra was awarded their first LRT project in Indonesia. This project included design, supply & build track and third rail on all three lines of the LRT Jabodebek. Despite challenging logistical conditions of numerous traffic jams in the metropolis, the floods from the monsoon and the peculiar situation linked to Covid-19, our people have swiftly reacted to maintain site activities as planned. With the commitment of our people, Colas Rail has successfully delivered the project on time and with high quality standards. Their commitments and hard work are recognized by our client PT Adhi Karya as well as the local administration.
One of our proudest achievements on this project is our Safety Record. Safety is always Colas Rail’s first priority and we have continually ensured that our employees are able to return home safe and sound every day. We are delighted to note that this strong culture of safety on which our company is based has found great enthusiasm among our local teams who quickly adopted our Group’s policies and immediately applied them on site.
In the coming weeks, our teams will complete the finishing tasks so that these three lines, eagerly awaited by the inhabitants of the metropolis, can be commissioned as planned in June 2021.
